Resumen del episodio
This week we’re back with a full 35-week pregnancy check-in: cravings (ginger snaps, peppermint mocha honey latte, and milk… so much milk), third-trimester symptoms, blood pressure anxiety hacks, and our nightly Lovenox routine that Adam has turned into a workout 😂 We talk about traveling at 35 weeks, what it feels like knowing I’ll be 39 weeks the week of Christmas, and the surprisingly emotional core-memory zoo date we finally got to have. In Couples Therapy, we dive into the big question: How do you know when it’s time to actually go to couples therapy? We unpack repeating fights, alignment vs. “winning,” and when individual therapy needs to happen first. And in Pop Culture Breakdown, we go full theatre kid reviewing Wicked: the sex cardigan, Elphaba’s lair, Ariana + Cynthia’s casting, the vocals, the love triangle, Nessa’s arc, and the weird CGI moment we cannot unsee. It’s cozy, chaotic, honest, and very third-trimester-coded — with our baby boy kicking up a storm the entire time. 💚✨ Insta…

Nesting, Nudes, New Politics, and… Am I Dramatic or Just Passionate?
EscuchadoIn this week’s episode, we are officially in countdown mode – six weeks to baby (!!) – and you can hear the nesting energy through the mic. We catch you up on: • What we’re watching (Dancing with the Stars, Kardashians, and why male partners sometimes feel like just a prop on the dance floor) • What we’re eating (a dreamy Italian night at Salento, why restaurant Caesar salad hits different, and my proud little baby shower dessert table moment with donuts, teddy grahams and all the cozy baked goods) • Our physical check-ins – Adam’s desperate plea to “bring daddy back” before those first shirtless newborn photos (aka: 42 days to get his arms together 😂) and my 4am fight with baby feet in my ribs, playing whack-a-mole inside my body • My spiritual check-in as we hit the final stretch: relief, gratitude, and the weird sweetness of knowing our son now… while also knowing he’ll feel like a total stranger the second he’s in our arms Then we dive into Couples Therapy Corner with a listener question: “He said I’m…
Nesting Season, Our Día de los Muertos Ofrenda, & Why Your Partner Falls Asleep Mid-Conversation
EscuchadoI’m almost 32 weeks (!) and deep in nesting mode — fresh paint, projects everywhere, and a cozy house soundtrack courtesy of a Día de los Muertos Pandora station. We built our first ofrenda to honor our grandparents, our three spirit babies, and this little boy who’s “in between,” and I share what we left out (taco soup, orange slices, pumpkin cake, and a Diet Dr Pepper for Grandpa). We also talk third-tri insomnia & reflux (what’s actually helping me sleep), and then hop into Couples Therapy to answer: “If my partner keeps falling asleep mid-conversation… is that divorce-worthy?” Plus: a feel-good story out of Portland, a quick TV roundup (Only Murders S4 actually stuck the landing!), and the internet tea: Kat Stickler × John Mayer? What we cover • Nesting & bumpdate: painting the house, seasonal cozy, weekly cravings (Cheez-Its + chocolate chip cookies 😅) • Our Día de los Muertos ofrenda: how we set it up, what we offered, and a sweet visitation dream • Third-trimester sleep toolkit: what’s worked for me…

Baby Showers, Solstice Magic & Faster Make-Ups
EscuchadoThis week feels like a deep exhale. We share about our blended-culture baby shower (Ojibwe, Nordic, and Mexican roots all in one celebration). In Couples Therapy, we talk about how our communication has evolved — how we repair faster, fight softer, and sometimes just need to touch first, talk later. We also share the small changes that have made a big difference lately — from ditching the massive pregnancy pillow to finally sleeping through the night again. We wrap with some cozy life updates: Adam’s eight-minute mile comeback, lemon-blueberry cake cravings, our new solstice traditions, and a few pop culture mentions that made us laugh (hi, Kim’s mummy mask).
